This was a freelance project made for an illustration in a book series.

I was asked by Jorge Ivanovich to help him out with this medieval mongol rider. So he just needed help with only the rider itself. The horse and the human was a base geometry with basic rig for posing provided by Jorge. He only needed the armor and props model in a Ztool file.

Breakdown:

cubeBulletpoint Started with a basic human model (provided by client) with a basic rig to start posing it in Maya.

cubeBulletpoint Created base meshes for armor and suit in Maya.

cubeBulletpoint Created separate pieces of geometry in Maya to use as IMM in Zbrush.

cubeBulletpoint High poly modeling in Zbrush.
